They will be using a variety of resources including textbooks, websites, and magazines to learn the 13 different landforms. Once we have studied the landforms, students will be given a project to build their own landform using any resources they have at home. Below you will find some links with examples of what students in another class created. You will also find the AKS we are studying listed, and some websites to help you familiarize yourself with these landforms. We look forward to having a creative, fun journey through landforms! Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) Locate key geographical regions and their features in the United States. 1c - describe the landforms and identify them on a map; locate - mountain, peninsula, piedmont, plain, island, forest, desert, grassland, plateau 1d - describe types of bodies of water and identify them on a map; locate - rivers, lakes, oceans, wetlands, bays, delta 1e - locate and describe the physical features of the three geographical regions of Georgia (mountains, coastal plain, and piedmont) Edible Landforms Look at what a middle school class did for their landform projects.
